Alberta’s Industrial Heartland Hydrogen Task Force releases the report “Building a Transition Pathway to a Vibrant Economy in the Alberta Industrial Heartland” leading to the establishment of Canada’s first hydrogen hub.

December 2020

Canada’s Hydrogen Strategy for achieving the goal of net-zero by 2050 is developed by Natural Resources Canada after engaging with stakeholder groups, provincial and territorial governments, and Indigenous partners.

April 14, 2021

Canada’s first hydrogen hub, backed by over $2.2 million in funding from three levels of government, launches in the Edmonton region with Mayor Alanna Hnatiw of Sturgeon County as founding chair.

The Edmonton Region Hydrogen HUB is seeking a detail-oriented and digitally capable
communications and engagement intern to support outreach, content and coordination
tasks. A major focus of this role will be helping develop a digital one-stop-shop by
gathering, organizing and preparing HUB project information for clear and accessible
use across online channels. The intern will assist with digital communications, social
media, event support and administrative duties while gaining experience in
communications, information organization and regional clean-energy initiatives.
